Knowledge?based radiation treatment planning: A data?driven method survey
نویسندگان
چکیده
This paper surveys the data-driven dose prediction methods investigated for knowledge-based planning (KBP) in last decade. These were classified into two major categories—traditional KBP and deep-learning (DL) methods—according to their techniques of utilizing previous knowledge. Traditional include studies that require geometric or anatomical features either find best-matched case(s) from a repository prior treatment plans build models. DL train neural networks make predictions. A comprehensive review each category is presented, highlighting key features, methods, advancements over years. We separated cited works according framework cancer site category. Finally, we briefly discuss performance both traditional then future trends prediction.

An Approach in Radiation Therapy Treatment Planning: A Fast, GPU-Based Monte Carlo Method
Introduction: An accurate and fast radiation dose calculation is essential for successful radiation radiotherapy. The aim of this study was to implement a new graphic processing unit (GPU) based radiation therapy treatment planning for accurate and fast dose calculation in radiotherapy centers. Materials and Methods: A program was written for parallel runnin...
متن کاملFractionation in radiation treatment planning
Radiotherapy treatment is often delivered in a fractionated manner over a period of time. Emerging delivery devices are able to determine the actual dose that has been delivered at each stage facilitating the use of adaptive treatment plans that compensate for errors in delivery. We formulate a model of the day-to-day planning problem as a stochastic program and exhibit the gains that can be ac...
