Knowledge, Attitudes And Practices Towards COVID-19 among Medical Students in International Islamic University Malaysia: An Online Cross-Sectional Study

INTRODUCTION: COVID-19 pandemic has caused a major impact to global public health including one of the high risk groups which is medical students. This study was intended assess knowledge, attitudes and practices (KAP) towards among students in International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). MATERIAL AND METHOD: An online cross-sectional conducted 438 IIUM from 6th July 2020 9th 2020. KAP measured using structured Malay English version questionnaire consisting 13 items on 3 practices. RESULTS: The average correct response rate knowledge 85.4%. Only 12.1% had all items, 1 every 4 5 misconceptions clinical features transmission COVID-19. In term COVID-19, majority respondents believed that would be effectively controlled (85%) faith could overcome war against (99%). Most practiced good avoiding crowded places (90%), wearing face masks (95%) practicing hand hygiene (91.6%). CONCLUSION: Although results are positive KAP, only 10 responded correctly questions, few proportions disease did not maintain adequate Policies aimed at appropriate promotion activities may ensure empowering with aspects practice properly following standard operating procedure implemented by government.
