Knowledge, Attitude and Perception of Pregnant Women towards Hepatitis E

Background: Hepatitis E is one of the most common diseases during pregnancy which can cause increased mortality and devastating complications. Objective: To assess knowledge, attitudes perceptions Pregnant Women towards Materials Methods: This cross sectional study was conducted in Maqsood Medical Complex General Hospital for a duration six months. The sampling technique non probability convenient sampling. inclusion criteria were pregnant women first trimester aged between18 45 years. Patients with molar those having history gastrointestinal disorders excluded from study. A total 100 patients taken Results: Among 80% heard about E, 81% known person ever infected viral infection, 60% don’t know that this infection caused by virus, only 46% reported they knew It transmitted through contaminated food water, 56% it blood transfusion, 54% be sexually, 45% mother to fetus, 61% more dangerous pregnancy, 26% hepatic failure 38% there vaccination E. Questions regarding attitude Hepatitis-E showed at risk getting Conclusion: From above results conclude good awareness hepatitis among women, yet need health education drive reduce its mortality.
