چکیده

This study reports simulation of cumulative biogas production data from thermophilic digester loaded with mixed fruit and vegetable wastes co-digested slaughterhouse at 55 ℃ 6.8 -7.2 operation temperature pH respectively. The experimental was fitted to the linear, exponential, Gaussian, logistic modified Gompertz kinetic models. results obtained showed that generation rate slow lag phase exponential increment thereafter. maximum generated 33100 mL on day 25 yield showing a decrease henceforth. ascending limb modeling best in model regression values 0.998 compared 0.8909, 0.9025, 0.9899 0.9860 for Gaussian models

Biogas production potential from cotton wastes

The anaerobic treatability and methane generation potential of three different cotton wastes namely, cotton stalks, cotton seed hull and cotton oil cake were determined in batch reactors. In addition, the effects of nutrient and trace metal supplementation were also investigated. To this purpose biochemical methane potential (BMP) experiments were performed for two different waste concentration...

Biogas Production from Fish Wastes in Co-digestion with Sewage Sludge

Fish wastes have great potential as a source of high valued organic carbon for methane production but also have limitation (high content of ammonia nitrogen). Anaerobic treatment of fish wastes is possible with co-digestion. The main issue for co-digestion process lies in balancing several parameters in the co-substrate mixture: macroand micronutrients, C:N ratio, pH, toxic compounds, biodegrad...

Biogas production from tannery wastes – Evaluation of isolated microorganisms effect

The disposal and treatment of wastes generated in the leather industry has been the focus of several studies around the world. They intend to meet environmental legislation and make the process environmentally and economically viable. The anaerobic digestion process, which occurs in steps that involve acid and methane forming bacteria, can be an alternative since it turns the waste into renewab...

Upcycling wastes with biogas production: An exergy and economic analysis

The massive consumption of finite resources creates high economical and environmental costs due to material dispersion and waste generation. In order to overcome this, by-products and wastes may be used, to avoid the use of virgin materials and benefit from the useful inherent energy of the material. By adding value to the material, economic and environmental performance can be improve, which i...
