چکیده

Introduction: Kalanchoe pinnata extracts have been shown to possess beneficial cardiovascular effects, analgesic and myorelaxant activities. This study aimed at evaluating the haematological anti-fatigue effects of its aqueous extract. Materials methods: was an in vivo pharmacological experiment, carried out Laboratory Zoology, University Buea, from January May 2018. A total 48 mice were subjected a 90mins/day-free endurance swimming test for 14 days. Two groups received distilled water 12% NaCl solution, respectively. Five plant extract (25, 50, 100 200 mg/kg/day) 200mg/kg/day+NaCl. One positive control group 5% Vitamin C (1.97mg/kg/day). All administrations by gavage. Maximum time, glycaemia, lactatemia, uremia, triglyceridemia, indices, tissue glutathion peroxidase, malondialdehyde, glucose creatine kinase-MB heart or gastrocnemius muscle measured. Results: K. (50 100mg/kg/day) induced non-significant increase duration, compared neutral control. However, 12%NaCl recorded significant (P<0.05) increase. In blood, decrease platelets that significantly reverted 200mg/kg+NaCl group. The prevented level CK-MB decreased serum triglycerides, glucose, urea nitrogen Lactate levels. tissues, MDA levels increased (P<0.001) negative These increases (200mg/kg/day). Conclusions: Significant biochemical variations support hypothesis could be used delay exercise fatigue.

Antioxidant and Antifatigue Properties of the Aqueous Extract of Moringa oleifera in Rats Subjected to Forced Swimming Endurance Test

The effects of the aqueous extract of Moringa oleifera on swimming performance and related biochemical parameters were investigated in male Wistar rats (130-132 g). Four groups of rats (16 per group) were fed a standard laboratory diet and given distilled water, 100, 200, or 400 mg/kg of extract, respectively, for 28 days. On day 28, 8 rats from each group were subjected to the forced swimming ...
