Joule-Thomson expansion of lower-dimensional black holes

چکیده

Herein, we extend Joule-Thomson expansion to the low-dimensional regime by considering rotating Ba\~nados-Teitelboim-Zanelli (BTZ) metric in ($2+1$)-dimensional space-time. Specifically, properties of three important aspects expansion, including coefficient, inversion curve, and isenthalpic curve were studied. The divergence point coefficient zero Hawking temperature investigated. curves $T--P$ plane obtained, cooling-heating regions determined. Furthermore, minimum was found be zero, black hole becomes an extremal hole. ratio critical temperatures for BTZ holes does not exist, since exhibit behavior pressure ${P}_{c}$, ${T}_{c}$, volume ${V}_{c}$.

COMPARISON OF THE EQUATIONS OF STATE FROM JOULE-THOMSON COEFFICIENT

In the present work, we have examined the ability of some different equations of state in predicting the Joule-Thomson coefficient, ?J-T, of different fluids. For dense fluids, for which density is greater than the Boyle density, ?B, two appropriate equations of state, namely the linear isotherm regularity, LIR, and the dense system equation of state, DSEOS, have been examined. The results show...

Two-Dimensional Dilaton Black Holes

The two-dimensional CGHS model provides an interesting toymodel for the study of black hole evaporation. For this model, a quantum effective action, which incorporates Hawking radiation and backreaction, can be explicitly constructed. In this paper, we study a generalization of this effective action. In our extended model, it is possible to remove certain curvature singularities arising for the...

Supergeometry of three-dimensional black holes.

We show how the supersymmetric properties of three dimensional black holes can be obtained algebraically. The black hole solutions are constructed as quotients of the supergroup OSp(1| 2;R) by a discrete subgroup of its isometry supergroup. The generators of the action of the isometry supergroup which commute with these identifications are found. These yield the supersymmetries for the black ho...

Phases of Higher Dimensional Black Holes

We review some of the most striking properties of the phase diagrams of higher dimensional black holes in pure gravity. We focus on static black hole solutions with KaluzaKlein asymptotics and stationary black hole solutions in flat Minkowski space. Both cases exhibit a rich pattern of interconnected phases and merger points with topology changing transitions. In the first case, the phase diagr...

Formation of Higher-dimensional Topological Black Holes

We study higher dimensional gravitational collapse to topological black holes in two steps. Firstly, we construct some (n + 2)-dimensional collapsing space-times, which include generalised Lemâıtre-Tolman-Bondi-like solutions, and we prove that these can be matched to static Λ-vacuum exterior space-times. We then investigate the global properties of the matched solutions which, besides black ho...
