John Forrester (1949-2015) fue un estudioso británico de la historia doctrina freudiana y evolución del movimiento psicoanalítico. Su primer libro, Los orígenes psicoanálisis en el lenguaje (1980), analiza rol las palabras los planteamientos terapia desarrollados por Sigmund Freud. última obra, Freud in Cambridge (2017), escrita con L. Cameron, es detenido estudio recepción Inglaterra. tradujo, además, seminarios Jacques Lacan al inglés, tarea envergadura teniendo cuenta particularidades estilo Lacan. La presente comunicación expone modo breve una biografía suya e intenta valoración su obra.
