Jaya algorithm for design optimization of planar steel frames

An efficient metaheuristic optimization method called Jaya Algorithm (JA) has gained wide acceptance among researchers in various engineering problems recently. The main feature of JA is that it does not use algorithm-specific parameters and a very simple formulation based on the concept approaching best solution moving away from worst solution. This study presents for design planar steel frames under strength displacement constraints. validity investigated by solving two benchmark examples. results demonstrated superiority over other state-of-the-art methods terms optimized weight, number structural analyses several statistical parameters.
