چکیده

This research studies the effects of three noise jamming techniques on performance a hybrid multistatic radar network in selection different electronic warfare (EW) situations. The metrics investigated are range and velocity estimation errors found using Cramér-Rao lower bounds (CRLBs). simulated is comprised single active transmitter, illuminators opportunity (IO), receiver co-located at transmitter site, two separately located silent receivers. Each IO transmits unique frequency band commonly used for civilian applications, including Digital Video Broadcasting-Terrestrial (DVB-T), Audio Broadcasting (DAB), FM radio. capable receiving signals all bands as well operating transmitter. investigations included compare detecting airborne target under conditions where combinations jammer type, mode, directivity, number jammers used. degradation system compared to operation non-contested environment determined comparison between with that achievable by monostatic an active-only within contested scenarios made. Results show use spatially distributed nodes diversity enable greater theoretical functionality presence over conventional systems.

Bi- and Multistatic Radar

Biand multistatic radar are expected to benefit from their separation of transmitter and receiver that denies receiver recognition by ARM, favours covered operation by their silent receivers, has higher detection possibilities of stealthy objects and is less vulnerable to jamming. The requirements of synchronisation in a separated transmitter-receiver system are discussed. The processing in bis...

Bistatic and Multistatic Radar Systems

Radar systems, based on bistatic radar concept attracted a substantial attention in the recent years. Passive coherent location systems using “transmitters of opportunity” like radio or TV broadcasters, GSM base stations, satellite communication and GNSS signals proved their potential in detection and tracking moving targets over a significant area. In this paper the multistatic location system...

Scalar and Vector Multistatic Radar Data Models

The aim of this thesis is to further the theory for multistatic imaging of movingtargets through the development and simulation of scalar and vector radar datamodels and accompanying imaging operations. In the first part of the thesis weinvestigate scalar representations of multistatic radar data. We begin by comparingtwo different approaches for developing a multistatic ambigui...

Estimating range, velocity, and direction with a radar array

We present maximum likelihood (ML) methods for active estimation of range (time delay), velocity (Doppler shift), and direction of a point target with a radar array in spatially correlated noise with unknown covariance. We consider structured and unstructured array response models and compute the Cram er-Rao bound (CRB) for the time delay, Doppler shift, and direction of arrival. We derive ambi...
