IT Freelancing in Bangladesh: Assessment of Present Status and Future Needs

The tremendous changes that business and economic activities worldwide have gone through in the last few decades, opened new avenues for IT Freelancing to establish itself as next big thing arena. Bangladesh, transitioning more IT-centric businesses, holds a huge potential this domain has already emerged global freelancing hub under government patronage. main objective of study is assess present status future needs Business Bangladesh. This descriptive nature based on primary secondary data. Relevant statistical analyses were performed using SPSS. found that, 96.2% freelancers are below 35 years old 80.8% completed tertiary education. Significant gender gap exists among terms participation. It 73.1% working part-time basis 33% want be entrepreneur. Half received training from private Institutes. Most satisfied with earnings freelancing. Freelancers observed lack capital infrastructure support, shortage facilities, payment-related issues social barriers. In order face challenges fourth industrial revolution head on, should take initiatives ensuring country branding, mobilization funds, better internet connectivity steady flow foreign currency sector thereby actualizing ‘Digital Bangladesh’ agenda.
