چکیده
The reconstruction of tools and artworks belonging to the origins music computing unveils dynamics distributed knowledge underlying some major breakthroughs that took place during analogue-digital transition 1950s 1960s. We document implementation two musical replicas, Computer Suite for Little Boy For Ann (Rising) . Our archaeological ubiquitous-music methods yield fresh insights on both convergences contradictions implicit in creation cutting-edge technologies, pointing design qualities such as terseness ambiguity. Through new renditions historically significant artefacts, enabled by recovery artistic first-hand sources one early computer environments, MUSIC V, we explore emergence exploratory simulations worlds.

Real-time issues in computer music
The fields of music and real-time systems have many common concerns, and there are many ways in which the fields might benefit from interdisciplinary research and an exchange of ideas. Time is a fundamental parameter in both music and real-time systems. Music is often concerned with ways of representing and structuring time, whereas real-time systems offer analytic techniques and engineering so...
متن کاملCognitive Issues in Computer Music Programming
Programming Languages are the oldest ‘new interface for music expression’ in computer music history. Both composers and researchers in computer music still have considerable interests in computer music programming environments. However, while many researchers focus on such issues as efficiency, new paradigm, or new features in computer music programming, cognitive aspects of computer music prog...
متن کاملPrototyping of Ubiquitous Music Ecosystems
This paper focuses the prototyping stage of the design cycle of ubiquitous music (ubimus) ecosystems. We present three case studies of prototype deployments for creative musical activities. The first case exemplifies a ubimus system for synchronous musical interaction using a hybrid Java-JavaScript development platform, mow3s-ecolab. The second case study makes use of the HTML5 Web Audio librar...
متن کاملAmbiguity and Multiplicity in Music Representation
Two evident problems in representing music are ambiguity and multiplicity. It is clear that the ‘same’ music can be represented in different ways. Some differences are simply because different facets of the music are represented: a score represents different things from an audio recording. Here I am concerned about differences which have at their root actual differences either in the detail of ...
