چکیده
Treatment for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) has been challenging as most patients present with late, advanced disease, where curative options are limited. For years, locoregional therapy (LRT) the first-line intermediate-stage HCC and sorafenib HCC. However, these treatments often palliative since they plagued by tumor recurrence or progression. Therefore, there is growing interest in combined to utilize their respective strengths produce synergistic effects. This review outlines past current research on efficacy safety of LRT systemic therapy.

Locoregional Therapy for Hepatocellular Carcinoma
Transplantation, resection, and ablation are recommended for the treatment of very early (single <2 cm diameter) and early (single or <3 nodules <3 cm diameter) stage hepatocellular carcinomas (HCCs) as determined using the Barcelona Clinic Liver Cancer (BCLC) staging system [1]. In addition, transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) is recommended for intermediate-stage multinodular HCCs, systemi...

متن کاملLymphadenectomy combined with locoregional treatment for multiple advanced hepatocellular carcinoma with lymph node metastases.
Lymphadenectomy of lymph node metastasis (LNM) from hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) may potentially improve survival of patients with intrahepatic tumors controllable by means of locolegional treatment. However, the treatment strategy has not gained wide clinical acceptance, especially in patients with multiple advanced HCC. Thus, the purpose of this study is to evaluate the role of lymphadenect...
متن کاملPreclinical studies of 166Ho-chitosan for treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma
Introduction: Recently, due to the special characteristics of 166Ho and chitosan, 166Ho-chitosan complex was developed for treatment of tumors such as hepatocellular carcinoma. This complex has been lately prepared with high radiochemical purity in our lab. The preclinical studies of the complex however should be performed to evaluate the tracer concentration in target and...
