چکیده
Peptides are naturally occurring biological molecules that found in all living organisms. These biologically active peptides play a key role various processes. The aim of this study is the extraction and purification bioactive materials induce relaxation an apical muscle from pyloric caeca Patiria pectinifera. acidified extract was partially separated by solid phase using stepwise gradient on Sep-Pak C18 cartridge. Among fractions, eluted with 60% methanol/0.1% trifluoroacetic acid put thorough series high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) steps to isolate neuropeptide activity. purified compound at 28% acetonitrile 0.1% retention time 25.8 min CAPCELL-PAK reversed-phase column. To determine molecular weight amino sequence peptide, LC-MS Edman degradation method were used, respectively. primary structure peptide determined be FGMGGAYDPLSAGFTD which corresponded starfish myorelaxant (SMP) isotype (SMPb) cDNA encoding SMPa its isotypes. In study, relaxant has been isolated P. This first report SMPb isolation protein level

Isolation and characteristics of trypsin from pyloric ceca of the starfish Asterina pectinifera.
Trypsin was purified from pyloric ceca of the starfish Asterina Pectinifera by ammonium sulfate precipitation, gel filtration, and cation-exchange chromatography. Final enzyme preparation was nearly homogeneous in sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis and its molecular weight was estimated as approximately 28000. Optimum pH and temperature of A. pectinifera trypsin for hydro...

Identification of a novel starfish neuropeptide that acts as a muscle relaxant
Neuropeptides that act as muscle relaxants have been identified in chordates and protostomian invertebrates but little is known about the molecular identity of neuropeptides that act as muscle relaxants in deuterostomian invertebrates (e.g. echinoderms) that are 'evolutionary intermediates' of chordates and protostomes. Here, we have used the apical muscle of the starfish Patiria pectinifera to...
متن کاملL-proline Transport Systems of Starfish Pyloric Caeca
Purified brush-border membrane vesicles (BBMV) of starfish [Pycnopodia helianthoides (Brandt)] pyloric caecal epithelium were prepared by magnesium precipitation in order to characterize the possible role of this organ in amino acid transport. L-[H]proline uptake by these vesicles was Na-dependent and greater at pH7.5 than at pH5.5. L-Pipecolate was a competitive inhibitor of L-proline influx i...
متن کاملfrom linguistics to literature: a linguistic approach to the study of linguistic deviations in the turkish divan of shahriar
chapter i provides an overview of structural linguistics and touches upon the saussurean dichotomies with the final goal of exploring their relevance to the stylistic studies of literature. to provide evidence for the singificance of the study, chapter ii deals with the controversial issue of linguistics and literature, and presents opposing views which, at the same time, have been central to t...
