چکیده
Isobaric expansion (IE) technology is a promising solution for mini- and medium-scale low-grade heat utilization. IE engines directly convert to mechanical energy are particularly interesting as direct-acting, vapor-driven pumps compressors. The elimination of multiple transformations, technical simplicity the ability use widely available (<100 °C) instead fossil fuels attractive features this technology. purpose paper was present new compression based on Worthington type engines, analyze process analytically numerically, provide first assessment its potential. simplest single- double-acting schemes were considered arbitrary low high pressures compressed gas/vapor driving vapor. In these schemes, compressor piston rigidly connected that an engine/driver. vapor efficiency driver characterized by ratio network carried out in cycle consumed mass performed thermodynamic analysis showed how depends parameters. It found comparison with if work much less than pump at same pressure ratio. This occurred because spent itself. As result, thermal engine compressors lower pumps. difference very large feed significant no regeneration applied. results obtained useful achieving improvements technology, which will be reported subsequent publications.

Vibration Analysis of Rotary Compressors
By theoretically analyzing dynamic behavior of the crankshaft, the rolling piston and the blade inrolling-piston rotary compressors, constraint forces and sliding speed at each pair of movable machine elements were obtained, and unbalanced inertia forces and compressor vibrations were evaluated. It was concluded that theoretical results have a goodagreement with experimental ones. Moreover, it ...
متن کاملOptimum Design of Reciprocating Compressors to Meet Thermodynamic Criteria
A mathematical model of a reciprocating compressor is used in conjunction with a "Complex" method of optimisation to determine the "best" dimensions of a single-stage compressor to meet a prescribed duty. The mathematical procedures provide the basic compressor and valve dimensions by optimising an objective function based, in this instance, on criteria of thermodynamic performance. The conseqe...
متن کاملOptimisation of Screw Compressors
Increasing demands for more efficient screw compressors require that compressor designs are tailored upon their duty, capacity and manufacturing capability. A suitable procedure for optimisation of the screw compressor shape, size, dimension and operating parameters is described here, which results in the most appropriate design for a given compressor application and fluid. It is based on a rac...
