چکیده
Aim: Malnutrition is a common condition especially in geriatric patients admitted to intensive care. There are various screening tools be used the evaluation of nutritional status hospitalized However, laboratory test has not been found yet for assessment. With this study, we aimed investigate whether there correlation between NLR, PLR, and complete blood count parameters at time admission care unit NRS-2002, GNRI, mNutric Score measured unit.
Material Method: This retrospective study was performed tertiary Chest Diseases Hospital. Patients aged 65 over were included study. Demographic data, length stay care, on day unit, albumin value, values recorded.
Results: A total 218 analyzed. It determined that 72.5% medium/high risk terms according GNRI classification, 76.6% high 84.9% score. According MPV statistically significantly higher (p

متن کاملAssessing risk screening methods of malnutrition in geriatric patients: Mini Nutritional Assessment (MNA) versus Geriatric Nutritional Risk Index (GNRI).
INTRODUCTION Elderly subjects are considered a vulnerable group and they have more risk of nutritional problems. The risk of malnutrition increases in hospitalized geriatric patients. OBJECTIVES To compare the correlation between MNA and GNRI with anthropometric, biochemical and Barthel Index in hospitalized geriatric patients and to test the concordance between MNA and GNRI and between Mini ...

متن کاملGeriatric Nutritional Risk Index: a new index for evaluating at-risk elderly medical patients.
BACKGROUND Patients at risk of malnutrition and related morbidity and mortality can be identified with the Nutritional Risk Index (NRI). However, this index remains limited for elderly patients because of difficulties in establishing their normal weight. OBJECTIVE Therefore, we replaced the usual weight in this formula by ideal weight according to the Lorentz formula (WLo), creating a new ind...
متن کاملInteraction between protein-energy wasting and geriatric nutritional risk index in elderly patients on dialysis.
Proteineenergy malnutrition has been proposed to be a cause of refractory anemia that accompanies the malnutritioneinflammation complex (or cachexia) syndrome in dialysis patients. Malnutritioneinflammation complex syndrome and the obesity paradox are also the main etiology for “reverse epidemiology” of cardiovascular risk factors and outcomes in dialysis patients. However, in some dialysis pat...
