چکیده
Aim: The prognostic nutritional index (PNI) is a simple and useful score for predicting the prognosis in various diseases such as cancers, ischemic heart disease, pulmonary embolism. The aim of our study to investigate association between PNI level mortality rates patients with or hemorrhagic AS admitted intensive care unit (ICU).
Material Methods: We retrospectively analyzed records 102 ICU January 2017, January, 2018.
Results: During period,83.3% AS, 45.1% were male. The divided into two groups according cut-off value (47.8). Patients low group (PNI≤47.8) older than high (PNI>47.8). Atrial fibrillation (p=0.02) renal (p=0.049) observed more frequently group. APACHE II SOFA scores higher length mechanical ventilation, hospital stay longer (p

Association between admission hypomagnesemia mortality or mortality of critically ill patients in intensive care unit
Background: Up to now there is no study evaluating correlation between serum magnesium and morbidity or mortality in patients admitted in intensive care unit. The aim of this study is to determine the prevalence of hypomagnesemia in critically ill patients and to evaluate its association with organ dysfunction, hospitalization period and mortality. Methods: We conducted a retrospective trial ...
متن کاملNeutrophil CD64 expression is a predictor of mortality for patients in the intensive care unit.
BACKGROUND Neutrophil CD64 has been shown to be a promising biomarker for bacterial infection and sepsis identification. However, the prognostic value of CD64 in predicting the likelihood of survival for patients in intensive care unit (ICU) is unclear. METHODS A total of 797 patients in the ICU of Xin-Hua Hospital, Shanghai, China were enrolled. We determined the Acute Physiology and Chronic...
متن کاملRisk Factors and Prognostic Factors of Acute Renal Failure in Patients Admitted to an Intensive Care Unit, Tehran-Iran
Acute renal failure (ARF) is defined as a sudden and continuous decrease of glomerular function associated with azotemia, and may be followed by decreased urinary output. There is a high incidence of ARF in ICU patients with a high mortality rate. Many factors can promote ARF development or influence its outcome. This study was done to assess the incidence, risk factors, outcome and treatme...
متن کاملUrinary neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin is an excellent predictor of mortality in intensive care unit patients
OBJECTIVES To assess urine neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin (uNGAL) level as a potential predictor of acute kidney injury (AKI), and both intensive care unit (ICU) and in-hospital mortality. METHODS Patients presenting to our ICU with a systolic blood pressure (SBP) less than 90 mmHg or mean arterial pressure (MAP) less than 65 mmHg, and no prior kidney disease were followed prospec...
متن کاملPrognostic Nutritional Index and the Risk of Mortality in Patients With Acute Heart Failure
BACKGROUND Nutritional status has been related to clinical outcomes in patients with heart failure. We assessed the association between nutritional status, indexed by prognostic nutritional index (PNI), and survival in patients hospitalized for acute heart failure. METHODS AND RESULTS A total of 1673 patients (age 76±13 years, 68% men) hospitalized for acute heart failure in a tertiary medica...
