چکیده

Abstract This work aimed to ascertain the effects of di? ;erent irrigation management practices on yield, fruit quality (nutritional and sensorial) storage performance early-maturing nectarine fruits during three consecutive growing seasons (2016/2017–2018/2019) under Mediterranean conditions. Three treatments were studied: two based maintaining non-limiting soil water conditions (100 % crop evapotranspiration, ETc) with one (T-Single) or (T-Double) lines emitters; volumetric content (VSWC) threshold values (T-Auto). Despite greater wetted surface in T-Double treatment, a mild plant deficit was observed post-harvest period, which did not significantly affect yield quality. The T-Auto VSWC, received 43 less than T-Single caused moderate deficit, without penalty any studied an increase use efficiency 34 respect treatment. Furthermore, from treatment had higher TSS levels (°Brix) at harvest. There no significant differences physico-chemical among after 10 days cold (0?°C) plus 5 shelf-life (15?°C), showing highest weight loss values. precise agronomic criteria sensors is avant-garde alternative for scheduling compared conventional ETc-based that improved contributed sustainability agriculture. has provided advantage terms production

Effects of Harvest Date on Apple Fruit Quality at Harvesting and after Cold Storage

Different dates for apples fruit harvest (Malus domestica Borkh. Cv. Fuji) were studied to determine physiochemical changes during the storage. Fuji apples were harvested from 9 September till 23 October, at five different times and stored at 0±0.5 °C and 95% relative humidity for 120 days. To determine the best harvest date for maximum quality and storability, physical and chemical paramet...

Effect of calcium chloride treatment on post harvest quality of peach fruit during cold storage

This study was carried out on the effectiveness of calcium chloride (CaCl2) treatments on the post harvest quality of peach fruits during cold storage at 10oC and 75 ± 5% RH. Different solutions of CaCl2 such as 1% (T1), 2% (T2) and 3% (T3) were prepared and the fruits were dipped for five minutes, while (To) was left with out calcium chloride treatment as control. The fruits were packed in cor...

Effect of post-harvest salicylic acid treatments on fruit quality of peach cv. "Flordaprince" during cold storage

Peach [Prunus persica (L.) Bastch.] "cv. Flordaprince" fruits at commercial maturity were immersed in 0, 0.5, 1.0 and 1.5 mM salicylic acid (SA) solution for 10 min, stored at 0 ◦ C for 28 days, then moved to 20 ◦C for 3 days to simulate shelf life. Fruit weight losses, firmness, TSS, acidity, Vit.C, sugars, anthocyanin, total phenols and two enzymes namely peroxidase and polyphenol oxidase act...
