چکیده

The oxidative dehydrogenation of propane to propene using carbon dioxide is an attractive novel synthesis route produce a key platform chemical. We investigated iron-chromia catalysts prepared by sol-gel. mixed oxides showed improved specific surface area and high concentration acid base sites were found be highly active catalysts. Although coking was observed over the catalysts, regeneration restored majority initial activity 5 consecutive cycles. space time yield amongst most Cr-based in literature.

Catalytic oxidative dehydrogenation of propane over Mg–V/Mo oxides

Fifteen distinct MgO–V2O5, MgO–MoO3, MgO–V2O5–MoO3, and V2O5–MoO3 compositions were prepared using sol–gel chemistry and their selectivities and conversions for propane oxidative dehydrogenation (ODH) to propylene were measured. The vanadates were more active than the molybdates at lower temperatures; however, the molybdates exhibited higher selectivities at similar conversions. An increase in ...

Heterogeneous Partial (amm)Oxidation and Oxidative Dehydrogenation Catalysis on Mixed Metal Oxides

This paper presents an overview of heterogeneous partial (amm)oxidation and oxidative dehydrogenation (ODH) of hydrocarbons. The review has been voluntarily restricted to metal oxide-type catalysts, as the partial oxidation field is very broad and the number of catalysts is quite high. The main factors of solid catalysts for such reactions, designated by Grasselli as the “seven pillars”, and pl...

Site-dependent catalytic activity of graphene oxides towards oxidative dehydrogenation of propane.

Graphene oxides (GOs) may offer extraordinary potential in the design of novel catalytic systems due to the presence of various oxygen functional groups and their unique electronic and structural properties. Using first-principles calculations, we explore the plausible mechanisms for the oxidative dehydrogenation (ODH) of propane to propene by GOs and the diffusion of the surface oxygen-contain...

Oxidative Dehydrogenation of Propane in the Realm of Metal–Organic Frameworks

Propylene (propene) is one of the most important feedstocks in the chemical industry. It is a starting material for the synthesis of a wide variety of commodity chemicals ranging from small molecules (cumene, isopropanol, acrylonitrile, acrylic acid, propylene oxide, and butyraldehyde) to polymers (most notably, polypropylene). In 2013, approximately 85 million tons of propylene were processed ...

Metal–Organic Framework Supported Cobalt Catalysts for the Oxidative Dehydrogenation of Propane at Low Temperature

Zr-based metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) have been shown to be excellent catalyst supports in heterogeneous catalysis due to their exceptional stability. Additionally, their crystalline nature affords the opportunity for molecular level characterization of both the support and the catalytically active site, facilitating mechanistic investigations of the catalytic process. We describe herein the...
