Around 1.5 billion people worldwide, iron deficiency anemia affects about 50% of the cases. Anemia in pregnancy often occurs due to which can affect condition both mother and fetus. Serum ferritin measurements have highest sensitivity specificity for diagnosis IDA unless there are underlying inflammatory conditions. In pregnant women, lower threshold value hemoglobin (Hb) is <11 g / dL trimester I III, <10.5 II. A Hb concentration <10 indicates clinically significant during puerperium. Oral therapy given as a first-line treatment anemia. Although current data limited, intravenous (IV) an alternative option patients who do not respond oral therapy, develop side effects, adhere treatment, very low concentrations require immediate severe Apart from giving iron, red blood cell transfusion also treating iron-deficiency pregnancy.
