Investors’ Behavior and Equity Investment Decision: An Evidence from Nepal

Behavior is the psychological phenomenon/aspect of individuals, and investors’ behavior influences investment decisions. The research examined influence on equity decisions based quantitative philosophy utilized descriptive cum analytical design. sample was 400 individual investors from top ten brokerage firms, with 40 who made in Nepalese stock market using a first-come-first-basis readiness to respond survey questionnaire. Data were collected 5-point Likert type self-administered closed-end structured questionnaire 293 respondents. Descriptive inferential statistics applied analyzing data, including correlation coefficient multiple regression analysis. results indicate that significant factor However, gender not an influencing factor. Hence, financial may always be guided by fundamental principles standard finance but largely influenced irrationality behavior. Then, it leads excessive trading securities, selling gain portfolios, overreaction underreaction marketplace. Therefore, can abated through training, professional advice, goal, implementation behavioral courses at academic institutions.
