Investigations on sheet metal forming of hybrid parts in different stress states

Abstract Conventional processes are being pushed to their limits by growing demands in terms of sustainability and diversity variants. Hybrid components, which produced a combination two or more manufacturing processes, suitable way meeting these challenges. The sheet metal forming with additive offers the potential link personalized components standardized parts. Knowing that additively manufactured influence process, it is essential understand interactions detail. Therefore, this work will compare several elements (AME) for deep drawing different punch geometries. approach used combines experimental numerical investigations improve process insight relation hybrid components. results show AMEs amplify existing stresses strains dependence present load. Sections subjected low loads, as found bottom cup cylindrical punch, hardly affected, whereas stronger loaded areas, e.g. center parts hemispherical affected all more.
