Investigation on the adsorption of the carbamate pesticide methomyl from aqueous solution using modified co-beta zeolite particles

Adsorption of carbamate pesticide Methomyl by Co-Beta Zeolite particles prepared wet ion-exchange method from aqueous solutions was studied. The effect zeolite and concentrations, pH value, sintering temperature on removal an solution change methomyl concentration during the adsorption followed using UV-Visible spectrophotometer. Scanning Electron Microscopy-Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (SEM-EDS) revealed modified morphology elemental structure. adsorbent surface before after dye observed Fourier Transformation-infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR). kinetics follows pseudo-second-order model, at optimal condition rate is k1 = 0.0166 g mg-1 min-1. Langmuir, Freundlich, Temkin Dubinin-Radushkovich isotherm models were used to describe process. Thermodynamic parameters also determined experimental data. thermodynamic study indicates that is, chemisorption physisorption are present same.
