Investigation on Aerosol Pool Scrubbing Model During Severe Accidents

During a nuclear power plant severe accident, discharging gas mixture into the spent-fuel pool is an alternative containment depressurization measurement through which radioactive aerosols can be scrubbed. However, it necessary to develop code for analyzing decontamination factor of aerosol scrubbing. This article has established analysis model considering key scrubbing mechanisms and introduced Akita bubble size relationship. In addition, evaluating was established. The Advanced Containment Experiment Light Water Reactor were simulated with different sizes MELCOR default value verify suitability simulating Furthermore, simulation results compared analyzed by COCOSYS from literature, equivalent predictive ability observed. sensitivity on conducted, contribution behaviors been discussed. Finally, breakup equation revised verified conditions multi-hole bubbler in Experiment.
