چکیده
The long-span double-deck truss girder bridge has become a recommend structural form because of its good performance on traffic capacity. However, the vortex-induced vibration (VIV) characteristics for girders are more complicated and there is lack related research. In this research, wind tunnel tests were utilized to investigate VIV large-span bridge. Meanwhile, suppression effect aerodynamic mitigation measures was measured. Furthermore, mechanism studied from perspective vortex shedding characteristics. results indicated that had significant when attack angles +3° +5°. an influence response girder. upper chord fairing lower inverted L-shaped deflector plate played crucial role in suppressing VIV. Numerical analysis above deck or wake region may dominate vertical VIV, while torsional disrupted original pattern both regions, thereby This research can provide foundation design bridges.

Investigation of vortex-induced vibration phenomenon in verticallong circular slender structure with non-uniform flows
Analyzing the vortex-induced vibration of a slender marine structure withlength to diameter ratio up to 200 is the objective of this study. This slender is free to move in both in-line and cross flow directions and immersed completely in water. Three different types of shear currents pass on it and cause to vibrate slender in different forms. Nowadays, these vibrations are very important for de...
متن کاملA Complementary Numerical and Physical Investigation of Vortex-induced Vibration
Results are presented from low Reynolds number experimental investigations of vortex-induced vibration and comparison is made with results from corresponding twoand three-dimensional direct numerical simulations. It is shown that three-dimensional simulations are required to reproduce the response envelope observed experimentally. Phase-averaged contours of spanwise vorticity demonstrate the pr...

متن کاملExperimental and Numerical Investigation on Bending Capacity of Steel- concrete Composite Truss Girder
This article presents an experimental investigation on the bending capacity of steel-concrete composite truss girder (SCCTG). Four full-scale specimens named CB1, CB2a, CB2b and CB3 respectively, are tested and numerical analyzed. Stress distribution, load-displacement relationship, load-slip relationship and ultimate bending capacity of SCCTGs are investigated. The results show that SCCTG foll...
