Investigation of the Usability of Foamed Bituminous Mixtures as Bituminous Base Course

Materials recycled with foam bitumen are promising materials for pavements economically and environmentally. However, there different opinions in the literature about how these positioned pavement. It is clear that their performances will not be suitable wearing course, but they used plant mixture base course because contain bitumen, neglected evaluation of materials. In study, 4 bituminous mixes prepared a pavement material standard mix were compared terms resilient modulus obtained from uniaxial indirect tensile test. Gradation same three mixtures, two them use cement as mineral binder, 70/100 grade one productions 50/70 other. third mixture, hydrated lime (HL)+fly ash (FA) used. final binders, gradation was changed. addition, permanent deformation control production carried out triaxial cyclic compression concluded all variables affect results, resilience values quite close to those sample. Considering foamed mixtures thicker than practice, it considered structurally appropriate this layer instead course.
