Investigation of the Thermal Conductivity and Flexural Strength of Polymethylmethacrylate Denture Base Material with SiC and Al2O3 Added

Although polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) is widely used as a denture base material, its disadvantages include low strength and thermal conductivity. The effects on conductivity, flexural strength, diffusivity, elastic modulus of adding Al2O3 SiC powders in different volumes to PMMA were investigated. A total 60 specimens prepared 10 groups (five for the conductivity test five (n:6). immersed water 30 days before testing.
