چکیده
Abstract Objectives In our study, we aimed to (1) create a peritoneal metastasis (PM) model in nude mice, administer intraperitoneal chemotherapy using the infusion pump developed this model, and (2) compare efficacy of various drugs at different temperatures. Methods The was established mice CC531 colon carcinoma cell line. Models with were randomized into four groups seven animals each: Group 1, control group (n=7); 2, normothermic (NIPEC) mitomycin C(MMC) 3, hyperthermic (HIPEC) C (n=7), 4, NIPEC 5-fluorouracil (5-FU). Results Tumor development achieved all animals. While tumor burden decreased significantly treatment 3 (p=0.034), no significant difference found other groups. PM mouse administration MMC had highest tumoricidal effect. Conclusions Our provided good opportunity examine HIPEC (IPIP). future studies, plan evaluate efficacies models have created.

Outcomes of cytoreductive surgery and hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy for colorectal cancer with peritoneal metastasis
In Taiwan, colorectal cancer with peritoneal carcinomatosis is considered a terminal condition. We examined the clinical outcomes of cytoreductive surgery and hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) treatment for colorectal cancer with peritoneal carcinomatosis in Taiwan. We enrolled patients with colorectal cancer and peritoneal metastasis from Taipei Medical University, Wanfang Hospi...
متن کاملIntraoperative hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy after cytoreductive surgery for peritoneal carcinomatosis in an experimental model.
BACKGROUND The combination of cytoreductive surgery (CS) and hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) is the treatment of choice for selected patients with peritoneal carcinomatosis (PC) of colorectal origin. However, it remains to be proven whether the addition of HIPEC to CS is essential for the reported survival benefit. METHODS Sixty WAG/Rij rats were inoculated intraperitoneally...
متن کاملCytoreductive surgery and intraperitoneal hyperthermic chemotherapy in peritoneal carcinomatosis.
BACKGROUND Peritoneal carcinomatosis is an advanced form of cancer with poor prognosis that in the past was treated mainly palliatively. Today, the definitive approach to peritoneal surface malignancy involves peritonectomy, visceral resection and perioperative intra-abdominal hyperthermic chemotherapy. The anticipated results range from at least palliative to as far as intent to cure. Proper p...

متن کاملSurgical Approach Including Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy (HIPEC) in Patients with Peritoneal Metastasis
Background: Peritoneal metastasis arising from colorectal cancer, appendiceal cancer, gastric cancer and gynecologic malignancies, or primary peritoneal surface malignancies such as peritoneal mesothelioma and primary peritoneal adenocarcinoma may be efficiently treated by cytoreductive surgery (CRS) and hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) in selected patients. Method: CRS is base...
