Investigation of Q Fever Seroprevalence in Cattle in Turkey

Objective: The aim of this study is to investigate Q fever seroprevalence in cattle Turkey. a highly infectious zoonotic disease which caused by Coxiella burnetii and has occurrence many countries the world. As it multiple species disease, different domestic wild animals could be carrier pathogen. However, cattle, sheep goats are main reservoirs generally appears with an increase cases abortion stillbirth. Methods: Enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) preferred recommended for diagnosis because they sensitive easy use. In study, blood samples randomly collected from 22 provinces Turkey between 2017-2018 were tested ELISA. Results: Among 1114 analyzed, detected seropositivity level 18% provincial 2.3%-35.2%. Regional results close each other changing 15.1% 22.3%. Conclusion: gathered have revealed C. exposure regions Turkey.The findings display necessity strategies against poses hazards both public animal health. Since leads serious loss production, determination fighting evaluation methods after practice important. This believed contribute fight leading comparable data presents.
