چکیده

Membrane technology has a significant role in textile wastewater treatment considering the modular design of membrane processes that enables to conceive complete scheme. The study presents comparative microfiltration (MF) (0.2 µm and 0.05 µm), ultrafiltration (UF), ozonation (0.1, 0.2 g/L ozone), ultraviolet (UV) irradiation titanium dioxide (TiO2) (0.05, 0.15, 0.3, 0.5 TiO2) zeolite adsorption (125, 250, 500 mL/min flow rates) as pre-treatment prior nanofiltration (NF) reverse osmosis (RO) membranes for real washing (WW). Experiments demonstrated applied methods enhanced flux performance NF270 RO except adsorption. By evaluation all alternatives, it was seen best chemical oxygen demand (COD) removal efficiency (41%) achieved with MF0.05 membrane. highest conductivity efficiencies were obtained by UV/TiO2 application process colour removed at 80.5%, among applications. Based on permeate quality, method selected MF pore size µm. Best + XLE combination 93.6%. Also, considerably high COD removals pre-treated NF combinations together elimination (> 98%). In this study, is aimed create an efficient system can be creating combined process.

Textile Dyeing Wastewater Treatment

Textile industry can be classified into three categories viz., cotton, woolen, and synthetic fibers depending upon the used raw materials. The cotton textile industry is one of the oldest industries in China. The textile dyeing industry consumes large quantities of water and produces large volumes of wastewater from different steps in the dyeing and finishing processes. Wastewater from printing...

Electroflocculation for Textile Wastewater Treatment

This work reports on the viability of the electroflocculation (EF) process for chemical oxygen demand (COD), turbidity and color removal from a raw effluent originated from a particular textile industry related to hemp manufacture. Firstly, the following operational parameters were optimized: current density; initial pH; electrolysis time; material of the electrode (iron, aluminum or iron-alumi...

Development of Membrane Bioreactor to Membrane Electro-bioreactor for Advanced Treatment of Wastewater

Limited available water resources have rendered wastewater reuse an important issue to specialists in most developed countries, today. The current study works on membrane filtration for treatment of industrial wastewater. By comparing the two methods of membrane bioreactor (MBR) and hybrid membrane electro bioreactor (MEBR) processes, it finds that earlier fouling in the membrane occurs in the ...
