چکیده
We study the efficiency of shrinking/stretching radiative fins to improve heat transfer rate. To evaluate competence suggested fins, influence shrinking/stretching, thermogeometric parameters, surface temperature, convection conduction, radiation and Peclet number is investigated. The problem solved numerically using a shooting method. validate numerical solution, results are compared with solution differential transform Temperature distribution increases rise in conduction parameters when number, stretching/shrinking, ambience, temperatures raised. temperature fin’s tip as ambient increase, decreases for enhanced parameters. Radiation cause fin increase shrinking decrease stretching, which shows an important role analysis mechanical engineering. formulated model also studied analytically, result qualitatively good agreement.

Computational Study of Radiative and Convective Heat Transfer in a Cylindrical Combustion Chamber
In this paper, the effect of cold air on the fluid flow inside the cylindrical combustion chamber and its wall temperature distribution have been studied computationally, taking into account the effect of radiative heat transfer from hot gases. The results have been compared with the case that radiative heat transfer was neglected. It is observed that the reattachment length increases when incr...
متن کاملInvestigation of Heat Transfer in Rectangular Microchannels
An experimental investigation was conducted to explore the validity of classical correlations based on conventionalsized channels for predicting the thermal behavior in single-phase flow through rectangular microchannels. The microchannels considered ranged in width from 194 lm to 534 lm, with the channel depth being nominally five times the width in each case. Each test piece was made of coppe...

This paper investigates the experimental program on the study of heat transfer characteristics in micro-channels. The two test sections used are of 47 and 50 micro-channels in rectangular cross-section of equivalent diameters 387 and 327 μm respectively. Each channel of length 192 mm is fabricated on a 304 stainless steel substrate (230 mm x 160 mm x 1.6 mm) by photo chemical etching process. C...

In the present study, the conjugate turbulent free convection with the thermal surface radiation in a rectangular enclosure bounded by walls with different thermophysical characteristics in the presence of a local heater is numerically studied. The effects of surface emissivity and wall materials on the air flow and the heat transfer characteristics are the main focus of the present investigati...
متن کاملModelling and simulation techniques for forced convection heat transfer in heat sinks with rectangular fins
This paper provides a comprehensive description of the thermal conditions within a heat sink with rectangular fins under conditions of cooling by laminar forced convection. The analysis, in which increasing complexity is progressively introduced, uses both classical heat transfer theory and a computational approach to model the increase in air temperature through the channels formed by adjacent...
