Increasing oil prices and emission legislation have forced automotive company to investigate new methods technologies reduce the harmful effect produced from motor vehicle, particularly CO2 (Carbon-Dioxide).A lot of studies research been put into in order achieve a zero vehicle with usage electricity rather than fossil fuel, but challenge cost environmental makes an IC engine is still being predominant power plant for automobile this century. One popular techniques among manufacturers better efficiency cylinder deactivation. Cylinder deactivation promising method fuel consumption by operate at higher load. However, combustion pressure extreme temperature firing cylinders will result NOx composition. This paper further performance, economy using one-dimensional (1-D) simulation tool.
