چکیده
The analysis of Celandine extracts (Chelidonium majus L.) by 1H NMR method makes it possible to identify the main alkaloids – derivatives phenanthridine, protoberberin and protopin, use qNMR provides information with satisfactory accuracy about content these alkaloids. determined in composition (0.35%) is 2 times lower than when using spectrophotometric determination procedure described GF Russian Federation XIV (0.72%). extraction results according methods given State Pharmacopoeia edition USSR IX give similar results: same are found chelidonin, stylopine protopine, total 1.6-1.8 less extracting raw material samples insistence. When extracted infusion, dihydrosanguinarin, stylopine, berberine coptisin.

Chelidonium majus L. (Papaveraceae) is a medicinal herb used in various traditional systems of medicine to treat ulcer, cancer, oral infection, liver disorders, chronic bronchitis, asthma, etc. Different parts of this plant contain numerous therapeutically important alkaloidal constituents such as chelidonine, chelerythrine, sanguinarine, berberine and so on. The plant and its active compounds ...

The aim of the study was to evaluate analgesic activity ("hot plate" test), anti-inflammatory activity (carrageenan-induced paw edema) and locomotor activity in rats under the influence of three fractions of Chelidonium majus herb extract: full water extract (FWE), protein enriched fraction (PEF), and non-protein fraction (NPF). Effects of the fractions on the level of chosen cytokines and thei...
متن کاملChelidonium majus-Induced Acute Hepatitis
Medicinal herbs, defined as preparations concocted by an unauthorized layperson [1], are used widely in Asian countries because they are easily available and are believed to be harmless. Despite this belief, hepatitis, and even fulminant hepatitis, associated with medicinal herbs has been reported. According to previous reports, drug-induced liver injury accounts for 2~40% of all liver injury [...
متن کاملInhibition of mouse liver respiration by Chelidonium majus isoquinoline alkaloids.
The alkaloids from Chelidonium majus L. which had a significant inhibitory effect in mitochondrial respiration were those which contain a positive charge due to a quaternary nitrogen atom, i.e., chelerythrine, sanguinarine, berberine and coptisine, both with malate+glutamate or with succinate as substrates. When malate+glutamate was used as substrate, chelerythrine and berberine, which contain ...
متن کاملComparative biochemical analysis of lectin and nuclease from Chelidonium majus L.
It has been recently recognized that lectins exhibit other activities besides hemagglutination. Previously we have found that purified lectin from Chelidonium majus showed DNase activity (Fik, Goździcka-Józefiak & Kedzia, 1995, Herba Polon. 41, 84-95). Comparison of lectin and DNase from the sap from leaves and roots of Chelidonium majus proved that both these compounds are composed of 24 kDa m...
