چکیده
Abstract. The incorporation of water isotopologues into the hydrology general circulation models (GCMs) facilitates comparison between modeled and measured proxy data in paleoclimate archives. However, variability drivers isotopologues, as well diversity their representation different models, are not constrained. Improving our understanding this past present climates will help to better constrain future climate change projections decrease range uncertainty. Speleothems a precisely datable terrestrial archives provide well-preserved (semi-)continuous multivariate isotope time series lower latitudes mid-latitudes therefore suited assess on decadal longer timescales. relationships speleothem oxygen carbon isotopes variables influenced by site-specific parameters, GCMs is always straightforward. Here we compare isotopic signatures from Speleothem Isotopes Synthesis Analysis database version 2 (SISALv2) output five water-isotope-enabled (ECHAM5-wiso, GISS-E2-R, iCESM, iHadCM3, isoGSM) over last millennium (850–1850 CE). متن کاملMultidecadal climate variability in Brazil’s Nordeste during the last 3000 years based on speleothem isotope records
[1] We present the first high resolution, approximately 4 years sample spacing, precipitation record from northeastern Brazil (hereafter referred to as ‘Nordeste’) covering the last 3000 yrs from Th-dated stalagmites oxygen isotope records. Our record shows abrupt fluctuations in rainfall tied to variations in the intensity of the South American summer monsoon (SASM), including the periods corr...

We present for the first time all 12 δO records obtained from ice cores drilled in the framework of the North Greenland Traverse (NGT) between 1993 and 1995 in northern Greenland. The cores cover an area of 680 km× 317 km, 10 % of the Greenland ice sheet. Depending on core length (100–175 m) and accumulation rate (90–200 kg m a) the single records reflect an isotope–temperature history over the...

متن کاملAnnually resolved North Atlantic marine climate over the last millennium
Owing to the lack of absolutely dated oceanographic information before the modern instrumental period, there is currently significant debate as to the role played by North Atlantic Ocean dynamics in previous climate transitions (for example, Medieval Climate Anomaly-Little Ice Age, MCA-LIA). Here we present analyses of a millennial-length, annually resolved and absolutely dated marine δ18O arch...
