Inverse heat conduction to model and optimise a geothermal field

Geothermal heat exchanger fields are complex systems that exploit the soil as a reservoir for space heating and cooling. They consist of several exchangers conveniently arranged in given portion. The design is key phase to ensure long-term sustainability such renewable energy systems. This task requires modelling relevant processes system, i.e., transfer within outside exchangers. We propose mathematical model study conduction into considers presence problem formulated solved with an analytical approach. Some numerical experiments used show effectiveness proposed method through comparison reference approximation procedure, based on finite difference method. Moreover, obtained solution optimisation procedure compute best position by minimising adverse effect neighbouring devices. results promising can be exploited effective tool geothermal
