In current study, we review existing, but scattered insecticidal activity different parts some IAPs; specifically those Africa with published from elsewhere. From our survey, found that 69 four continents (Africa, Asia, North America South America) reported 23 13 families (Asteraceae = 6 species; Solanaceae 3 Apocynacee, Fabaceae Euphorbiaceae 2 each; Araceae, Bignoniaceae, Chenopodiaceae, Meliaceae, Mimosaceae, Myrtaceae, Papaveraceae, Verbenaceae 1 each) are in, Africa. The highest number case were India ( n 19) Nigeria 15). We varying concentrations extracts or powders caused 50–100% mortality against a myriad insect pests agriculture environmental importance. Our discussed prospects for exploiting IAPs pesticidal plants African countries especially among resource-poor small-holder farmers locals improve agricultural productivity livelihoods. Finally, highlighted safety concerns challenges using formulates appropriate recommendations future research.
