Frusemide in respiratory distress syndrome.
Savage, M. O., Wilkinson, A. R., Baum, J. D., Roberton, N. R. C. (1975). Archives of Disease in Childhood, 50, 709. Frusemide in respiratory distress syndrome. The effect of frusemide on urinary volume, urinary sodium excretion, and urinary calcium excretion in 7 premature infants with severe respiratory distress syndrome (RDS) has been studied. The results are compared with similar measurement...
متن کاملEffect of frusemide on pulmonary blood volume.
Intracardiac frusemide given to seven patients recovering from high-altitude pulmonary oedema caused a significant reduction in the pulmonary blood volume before the onset of diuresis. This supports the suggestion that the mobilization of fluid from the pulmonary circuit is responsible for the relief of symptoms in some patients with pulmonary oedema even when a diuresis does not occur.
متن کاملInteraction of ketoprofen and frusemide in man.
The effects of ketoprofen on frusemide-induced diuresis, natriuresis and renin release were studied in 12 healthy male volunteers. Each received frusemide 40 mg once daily with either ketoprofen 100 mg twice daily or placebo for two periods of 5 days separated by a treatment-free period according to a randomized, double-blind, cross-over study design. Ketoprofen significantly reduced frusemide-...
متن کاملAttenuation of propranolol-induced bronchoconstriction by frusemide.
BACKGROUND Inhaled propranolol causes bronchoconstriction in asthmatic subjects by an indirect mechanism which remains unclear. Inhaled frusemide has been shown to attenuate a number of indirectly acting bronchoconstrictor challenges. The aim of this study was to investigate whether frusemide could protect against propranolol-induced bronchoconstriction in patients with stable mild asthma. ME...
متن کاملEffect of frusemide on Cl—channel in
Effect of frusemide on Cl –channel in rat peritoneal mast cells. G. Meyer, S. Doppierio, P. Vallin, L. Daffonchio. ©ERS Journals Ltd 1996. ABSTRACT: Frusemide can be used as an antiasthma drug and appears to inhibit the release (conditioned by activation of Cl– channels) of mast cell proinflammatory mediators. We studied the cause of the effects of frusemide, checking its action on Cl– channels...
