Intraoperative neurophysiologic monitoring during endovascular treatment for cerebral aneurysms

چکیده

Treatment for cerebral aneurysms is performed because aneurysm poses a risk of future neurologic deficits due to intracranial hemorrhage. Such surgical and endovascular treatment are prophylactic prevent harm patients. Ironically, these procedures themselves pose similar risks. During aneurysms, intraoperative neurophysiologic monitoring (IONM) can be used assess the functional state brain. Through performing IONM, it possible alert surgeon signs ischemia as early so that an intervention might reversed or course altered avert permanent ischemic damage. IONM continuous electroencephalography, somatosensory evoked potentials, brainstem auditory potentials transcranial motor during procedure provide real-time information about function nervous system thereby warning team when sign hemorrhage present. This article aimed review process methods usefulness aneurysms.
