INTRAEPITHELIAL LYMPHOCYTES SUBSETS IN CROHN’S DISEASE PATIENTS

چکیده
Crohn’s disease is an autoimmune inflammatory bowel characterized with the chronic relapsing-remitting inflammation, mainly in terminal parts of small intestine and colon, as a result genetic predisposition or environmental factors influence. It associated impaired bacterial clearance changes immunological parameters what resulted disruption gastrointestinal tract ecosystem, formed by microbiome non-living components such mucus, food metabolites additives. Intraepithelial lymphocytes play important role mucosal immunity their phenotype functional profile largely determined composition affecting it (diet, smoking, seasonal changes, air pollution, hygiene, etc.). In this investigation intraepithelial large were shown patient well correlation clinical data was established. Obtained may be used hallmark immune inflammation gut make ideal candidate for targeting further immunoregulation adaptive response against autoantigens.

Cell Density Counts of the Intestinal Intraepithelial Lymphocytes in the Celiac Patients
Background: Increased number of intestinal intraepithelial lymphocytes (IELs) is a key histological finding in the diagnosis of celiac disease (CD); however, the number of IELs in celiac patients and healthy subjects may vary from one region to another. Additionally, there are some seronegative celiac patients with a borderline histology. Objective: To determin...
متن کاملChanges of Small Bowel Peristalsis in Patients with Crohns Disease
Purpose: MR enterography (MRE) is one of the mainstays in the evaluation of Crohns disease (CD). A wide variety of studies have attempted to improve the sensitivity and specificity of MRE, all focusing on the evaluation of static images [1]. MRE however allows not only the static display of morphology, but can be combined with ultrafast scanning techniques (cineMRE) for analysis of bowel motili...
متن کاملPinworm Infestation Mimicking Crohns' Disease
We here report a case of a young man who presented to his general practitioner with diarrhea. Inflammatory bowel disease was suspected and a colonoscopy showed aphthous lesions suggestive of Crohns' disease but biopsies revealed eggs of Enterobius vermicularis. When treated for this parasite, his symptoms were alleviated and a followup colonoscopy revealed a normal colon and distal ileum. Enter...
متن کاملDetermination of lymphocytes surface markers in patients with thermal burns and the influence of burn size on mononuclear cell subsets
Background: Thermal burn injuries impair the host defence system. Hence, in the present study, we aimed at investigating the changes in the number and phenotype of peripheral blood lymphocyte populations (T, B, and natural killer cells) and their subpopulations in patients with thermal burns and determining the relationships with different sizes of total body surface area (TBSA). ...
متن کاملFunctional subsets of lymphocytes.
In this review I shall survey various properties of lymphocytes which allow clear distinctions to be drawn between different lymphocyte subsets. I shall discuss only thymus-derived (T) lymphocytes since these cells appear to play a key role in regulating the activities of other lymphoid cells (B cells and macrophages) as well as carrying out effector functions themselves. In the first section I...
