چکیده

Abstract This study compared the effects of using continuous and interval aerobic exercise during concurrent training on cardiorespiratory adaptations in women. Thirty-two participants were randomly assigned into one following groups: running resistance (C-RUN, n = 10), (I-RUN, 11), or control group that performed only (RT, 11). Each trained twice a week 11 weeks. Oxygen uptake corresponding to first ventilatory threshold (VO2VT1), second (VO2VT2) maximal effort (VO2max) was measured incremental test before after training. Significant increases VO2VT1, VO2VT2 VO2max observed all groups. presented time-group interactions, indicating magnitude increase these variables dependent (VO2VT2: C-Run 6.6%, I-Run 15.7%, RT 1.7%; VO2max: 7.2%, 14.3%, 2.7%). The effect size for post-training values comparing C-RUN groups d 0.566 0.442 VO2max. On other hand, 0.949 1.189 verified between I-RUN In conclusion, use improved different parameters women, but greater when simultaneously

Cardiorespiratory Adaptations during Concurrent Aerobic and Strength Training in Men and Women

This study investigated the effects of endurance followed by strength training (ES, men n = 16; women n = 15), the reverse exercise order (SE, men n = 18, women n = 13) and concurrent endurance and strength training performed on alternating days (AD, men n = 21, women n = 18) on cardiorespiratory parameters. Peak oxygen consumption ([Formula: see text]O2peak) and oxygen consumption at sub-maxim...

Molecular adaptations to concurrent training.

This study investigated the chronic effects of concurrent training (CT) on morphological and molecular adaptations. 37 men (age=23.7±5.5 year) were divided into 4 groups: interval (IT), strength (ST) and concurrent (CT) training and a control group (C) and underwent 8 weeks of training. Maximum strength (1RM) and muscle cross-sectional area (CSA) were evaluated before and after training. Muscle...

High-Intensity Interval Training in Normobaric Hypoxia Improves Cardiorespiratory Fitness in Overweight Chinese Young Women

Previous studies have investigated the effects of high-intensity interval training (HIIT) on cardiorespiratory fitness and body composition in overweight populations. However, the additive effect of HIIT and hypoxia on health parameters is not clear. This study compared the effects of HIIT under hypoxic conditions on cardiometabolic function with that under normoxia in overweight Chinese young ...

Neuromuscular adaptations to concurrent strength and endurance training.

PURPOSE The purpose of this study was to examine muscle morphological and neural activation adaptations resulting from the interaction between concurrent strength and endurance training. METHODS Thirty sedentary healthy male subjects were randomly assigned to one of three training groups that performed 10 wk of 3-d x wk(-1) high-intensity strength training (S), cycle endurance training (E), o...

Muscle performance and enzymatic adaptations to sprint interval training.

Our purpose was to examine the effects of sprint interval training on muscle glycolytic and oxidative enzyme activity and exercise performance. Twelve healthy men (22 +/- 2 yr of age) underwent intense interval training on a cycle ergometer for 7 wk. Training consisted of 30-s maximum sprint efforts (Wingate protocol) interspersed by 2-4 min of recovery, performed three times per week. The prog...
