Postcolonial African fiction has been successful in resisting colonialism and its dehumanizing ideas, which have caused unfathomable physical pain psychological crises for Africans. While fighting back against the injustices, writers played a catalyzing role dismantling system by creating intertextual connections with different texts from near beyond. The main objective of this paper is to determine use intertexts selected novels Ngũgĩ Wa Thiong'o. article examines three periods: Weep Not, Child (1964), Petals Blood (1977), Wizard Crow (2006). are purposively, considering significant contexts each texts. include anti-colonial struggles early 1960s, post-independence disillusionment period, contemporary neocolonialism. study relies on notions intertextuality propagated Mikhail Bakhtin Julia Kristeva, these scholars focus connection between text context. After close reading novels, identifies such as quotations, references, citations, allusions inserted either reinforce or criticize meaning under local global contexts. Then, through textual analysis method, determines impact novels.
