Interrogating Gender, Nature, and Violence: An Anarcho-Ecofeminist Reading of Ana Castillo’s So Far from God

This research is an anarcho-ecofeminist reading of Ana Castillo’s So Far from God. The work reflects the issues gender, nature, and violence in its American South culture. I employ Murray Bookchin’s concept ‘anarchy’ Greta Gaard’s idea ‘ecofeminism’ as props for analysis selected text. argument this study questions status patriarchal norms that provide justification oppression women, devastation practice presented text under scrutiny. also argues Castillo uses her narrative intellectual device order to expose ills existing society.
