Interplay among daily gratitude to God, hassles and uplifts, and positive and negative affect

To examine the interplay among Gratitude to God (GTG) and daily life experiences affect, we conducted a 14-day diary study in national US sample of 184 adults. GTG minimally fluctuated across days. People who experienced more uplifts had relative both their own baseline others study, while those hassles less baseline. Trait (but not religiousness) buffered these associations. Specifically, trait attenuated positive association between PA as well negative NA. However, was unrelated effects moderated by religiousness or GTG. may be influenced have consequences for well-being, but associations are straightforward. In some ways, lead lower reactivity adverse event.
