Intermittency Analysis of Toy Monte Carlo Events

چکیده
Event-by-event intermittency analysis of Toy Monte Carlo events is performed in the scenario high multiplicity as case at recent colliders RHIC and LHC for AA collisions. A power law behaviour Normalized Factorial Moments (NFM), F_{q} Fq function number bins ( M display="inline">M ) known intermittency, a signature self-similar fluctuations. Dependence NFM on detector efficiencies presence fluctuations have been studied. Results presented here provide baseline to experimental results clarity application efficiency corrections data.

Sequential Monte Carlo Samplers for Rare Events
We present novel sequential Monte Carlo (SMC) algorithms for the simulation of two broad classes of rare events which are suitable for the estimation of tail probabilities and probability density functions in the regions of rare events, as well as the simulation of rare system trajectories. These methods have some connection with previously proposed importance sampling (IS) and interacting part...

متن کاملIntermittency in Individual Events
a Recent discussion of the possibility to study intermittency in individual events of high multiplicity by A. Bialas and myself is reported. In the framework of α−model it is found that, for a cascade long enough, the dispersion of intermittency exponents obtained from individual events is fairly small. This fact opens the possibility to study the distribution of the intermittency parameters ch...
متن کاملMonte Carlo Extension of Quasi-monte Carlo
This paper surveys recent research on using Monte Carlo techniques to improve quasi-Monte Carlo techniques. Randomized quasi-Monte Carlo methods provide a basis for error estimation. They have, in the special case of scrambled nets, also been observed to improve accuracy. Finally through Latin supercube sampling it is possible to use Monte Carlo methods to extend quasi-Monte Carlo methods to hi...
متن کاملAdaptive importance sampling Monte Carlo simulation of rare transition events.
We develop a general theoretical framework for the recently proposed importance sampling method for enhancing the efficiency of rare-event simulations [W. Cai, M. H. Kalos, M. de Koning, and V. V. Bulatov, Phys. Rev. E 66, 046703 (2002)], and discuss practical aspects of its application. We define the success/fail ensemble of all possible successful and failed transition paths of any duration a...
