Interligand Charge-Transfer Processes in Zinc Complexes

چکیده

Electron donor–acceptor (EDA) complexes are characterized by charge-transfer (CT) processes between electron-rich and electron-poor counterparts, typically resulting in a new absorption band at higher wavelength. In this paper, we report series of novel 2,6-di(imino)pyridine ligands with different aromatic substituents their 1:2 (metal/ligand) zinc(II) which the formation CT species is promoted metal ion coordination. The properties these were studied, showing presence only case donor groups. nature EDA interaction was confirmed crystallographic studies, disclose moieties involved process. These mutually belong to both forced into favorable spatial arrangement coordinative preferences ion.

Determination of Trimethoprim Based on Charge-Transfer Complexes Formation

A spectrophotometric study concerning the interaction between Trimethoprim (TMP) ,Sulfamethoxazole (SFMx), as n-donor and 2,3-dichloro-5,6- dicyano-P-benzoquinine (DDQ) and chloranilic acid (CA) as π-acceptor were been performed at 25°C. The results of interaction of CA and DDQwith TMP indicate the formation of a 1:1, 1:2, charge transfer complexes through non equilibrium reactions. In the case...

Mixed valency in organic charge transfer complexes.

Mixed-valence (partial charge transfer state) and segregated stacking are the key factors for constructing organic metals. Here, we discuss the ionicity phase diagrams for a variety of charge transfer systems to provide a strategy for the development of functional organic materials (Mott insulator, semiconductor, superconductor, metal, complex isomer, neutral-ionic system, etc.).

Interligand electron transfer in heteroleptic ruthenium(II) complexes occurs on multiple time scales.

The time-dependent localization of the metal-to-ligand charge transfer (MLCT) excited states of ruthenium(II) complexes containing 2,2'-bipyridine (bpy) and 1,10-phenanthroline (phen) ligands was studied by femtosecond transient absorption spectroscopy. Time-resolved anisotropy measurements indicate that the excited state hops randomly among the three ligands of each complex by subpicosecond in...

Ultrafast charge transfer processes in solution

Charge transfer reactions in solution are of fundamental importance in many areas of chemistry and biology. As commonly accepted, electron transfer reaction is regarded as the simplest chemical reaction because of the absence of bond-breaking and bondforming processes. It plays a key role in biocatalysis and in photosynthesis. On the other hand, neutralisation reactions between Brønsted acids a...
