Interdiffusion induced high coercivity of rare-earth free Alnico/Pt thin films

چکیده

Rare-earth free Alnico permanent magnet is composed of spinodally decomposed ferromagnetic L10 Fe–Co rich (?1 phase) embedded in paramagnetic or weak L12 Al–Ni (?2 matrix. We deposited ?1 phase alloy (Fe52Co35.8Al5.6Ni5.3Ti0.9Cu0.4) on (111) oriented Pt (100 nm)/TiO2/SiO2/Si substrate to investigate coercivity enhancement induced by the and also interdiffusion through annealing. It demonstrated that as-deposited film magnetically soft with a ?0.05 kOe, while its increased 5.4 kOe after annealing at 800 °C. This attributed between Pt. Therefore, large magnetocrystalline anisotropy occurs tetragonal (Co, Fe, Ni)Pt film.

Multilayer sputtering of SmFe/C(Al) plus appropriate thermal processing has been used to fabricate SmFeC thin films with A1 substitution for Fe. It was found that the SmFeAlC thin films exhibited exceptionally high Coercivities.
