Interactive Segmentation of User Interface Logs

Robotic Process Automation (RPA) is an emerging technology that relies on software (SW) robots to automate intensive and repetitive tasks (i.e., routines) performed by human users the application’s User Interface (UI) of their computer systems. RPA tools are able capture in dedicated UI logs execution many routines interest. A log consists user actions mixed some order reflects particular user, thus potentially belonging different routines. In literature, challenge understand which contribute cluster them into well-bounded routine traces known as segmentation. this paper, we present a novel approach discovery from unsegmented logs, on: (i) frequent-pattern identification technique automatically derive behaviors (a.k.a. segments) recorded log, (ii) human-in-the-loop interaction filter out those segments not allowed wrongly discovered log) any real-world under analysis, (iii) trace alignment all specific segment traces. We evaluate our showing its effectiveness terms supported segmentation variants.
