چکیده
This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of A. oryzae in inhibiting aflatoxin B1 (AFB1) and ochratoxin A (OTA) production by flavus carbonarius, respectively, under shifting temperatures. was tested on different agar, namely coconut cream agar (CCA) chili-based figure out variation most appropriate medium for carbonarius produce mycotoxin natural condition where they are predominantly found. On CCA, temperatures applied were 20, 30, 35, 40, 20/30, 20/35, 20/40 °C, while imposed at varied water activity 0.92 0.97aw. The findings indicated that much more effective growth rather than yet it able inhibit higher OTA concentration AFB1 fluctuating CCA as carbonarius. effectively inhibited static temperature 20 °C 0.97aw agar. Under (20/40 °C), also control mycotoxin, particularly high (0.97aw).

Non-aflatoxigenicity of commercial Aspergillus oryzae strains due to genetic defects compared to aflatoxigenic Aspergillus flavus.
Aspergillus oryzae is generally recognized as safe, but it is closely related to A. flavus in morphology and genetic characteristics. In this study, we tested the aflatoxigenicity and genetic analysis of nine commercial A. oryzae strains that were used in Korean soybean fermented products. Cultural and HPLC analyses showed that none of the commercial strains produced detectable amount of aflato...
متن کاملCyclopiazonic Acid Biosynthesis of Aspergillus flavus and Aspergillus oryzae
Cyclopiazonic acid (CPA) is an indole-tetramic acid neurotoxin produced by some of the same strains of A. flavus that produce aflatoxins and by some Aspergillus oryzae strains. Despite its discovery 40 years ago, few reviews of its toxicity and biosynthesis have been reported. This review examines what is currently known about the toxicity of CPA to animals and humans, both by itself or in comb...
متن کاملAflatoxigenic isolates of Aspergillus flavus from pecans.
Of 120 isolates of the Aspergillus flavus group from pecans used in bakery products, 85 were shown to produce aflatoxin on yeast extract sucrose medium. Extracts from moldy sections of raw pecans obtained commercially at the retail level showed aflatoxin-like spots on thin-layer chromatography. Cooked (autoclaved) pecans inoculated with toxigenic isolates of A. flavus were also good substrates ...
متن کاملGene deletion patterns in non-aflatoxigenic isolates of Aspergillus flavus
Fifteen non-aflatoxigenic strains of Aspergillus flavus, represent a wide range of geographic regions of Iran (six provinces include Fars, Ardebil, Guilan, Golestan, Kerman and Semnan) and vegetative compatibility groups (VCGs), were collected from corn (Zea mays L.), peanut (Arachis hypogaea L.) and pistachio (Pistachia vera L.) soils and kernels, were screened for the presence of aflatoxin bi...
متن کاملComparison of Aspergillus flavus and Aspergillus oryzae by amplified fragment length polymorphism
The aflatoxin producer Aspergillus flavus and the koji mold Aspergillus oryzae are morphologically similar species that belong to the Aspergillus section Flavi. We used amplified fragment length polymorphism (AFLP) to differentiate these two species. In this study, we tested thirteen A. flavus, nine A. oryzae, and three A. flavus var. columnaris strains. DNA fragment profiles amplified with eac...
