In the context of enterprise architecture management, complex diagrams proprietary software systems are often created. Working with these is not self-explanatory, as multiple layers information contained in overview. Changing design and style supported within hierarchical structure impossible outside original product. Separating content from provides a solution to this problem. The use scalable vector graphics (SVG) only allows free scaling compared traditional pixel-based formats, but also integration interactive elements (e.g., focus regions) or help texts. Additional animations graphic can guide reader understanding. As part international adaptation Global Higher Education Reference Model (HERM) English German, neutral SVG structural template was developed. all designations into any language automated based on UTF8 text file containing translated labels.
