Interactions between Biochar and Compost Treatment and Mycorrhizal Fungi to Improve the Qualitative Properties of a Calcareous Soil under Rhizobox Conditions

Most calcareous soils have relatively low levels of organic matter. To evaluate the effect pruning waste biochar (PWB) and compost (PWC) combined with arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) on biological indices, a rhizobox study wheat using completely randomized design was conducted under greenhouse conditions. The studied factors included source material (PWB, PWC, control), microbial inoculation (+AMF or −AMF), zone (rhizosphere non-rhizosphere soil). At end plant growth period, carbon (OC), biomass (MBC), phosphorous (MBP), respiration (BR), substrate-induced (SIR), alkaline (ALP) acid (ACP) phosphatase enzyme activities in rhizosphere were determined. Simultaneous application matter AMF significantly increased OC indices soil relative to those observed when applying without inoculation. Additionally, MBC, MBP, ACP, ALP enzymes higher than non-rhizosphere. BR SIR by 13.06% 7.95% compared non-rhizosphere, respectively. It can be concluded that PWC PWB improve properties increasing activity.
