Interaction Phenomena to Be Accounted for Human-Induced Vibration Control of Lightweight Structures

Inertial mass controllers, including passive, semi-active and active strategies, have been extensively used for canceling human-induced vibrations in lightweight pedestrian structures. Codes to check the vibration serviceability current controller design approaches assume that both excitation forces are same on a flexible structure rigid structure. However, this fact may not be assumable since interaction phenomena arise even moderately Analyzing two case studies paper, involved frequency-domain-based of passive inertial dampers discussed. Thus, general control problem is set hereby. Concretely, paper deeply discusses following issues: (i) how controlled affected when human-structure presented deterministic stochastic conditions, (ii) closed-loop transfer function damper, (iii) an damper.
